Modded M3 DCT vs X5M

whatsup guys, I know someone posted a video in another thread on m3post.com of an M3 getting absolutely embarrassed by an X5M - its because of such videos that some ignorant people outside the BMW community simply dismiss the M3 as a really slow car....I posted in that thread saying that an M3 should walk an X5M pretty easily (with the M3 being both stock and modded), and some people disagreed.......anyways, heres an accurate depiction of an M3 vs an X5M, its a pretty short race but I think the results speak for themselves:

A lot of people see one video and immediately believe it to be true representation of all events failing to think for themselves.

That is a good vid, the M3 traps higher and will pull away as speeds rise of course.

Too bad you didn't get a better vid, that is great stuff.

Well, a higher quality vid would have made for a great front page post but this should definitely be enough to show people the M3 is the faster car, especially from a roll.

From a stop though you will find the X5 M surprisingly tough though until higher speeds.

Yes, it's way too heavy and too big to compete well beyond that. The damn thing has almost 2000 pounds an M3.

Impressive though I guess.

definitely has AWD advantage down low and off the line... people these days.

^Thanks....I'm also fully bolted with a custom tune so I'm much faster than a stock M3, I figure a stock S65 will need a greater distance to pull away from it..

Just for fun and because they are M's so it comes naturally.

Also, because someone said the X5 M was faster so it needed to be put to the test.

On the highway roll aerodynamics and weight come into play and it shows.

X5M traps 110ish. It wouldve been much closer from a dig.
