Two decades of McLaren supercar design juxtaposed in a single picture
McLaren posted a picture today that car enthusiasts around the globe will appreciate. On the left you have the legendary McLaren F1 which made its debut in 1992 and on the right the pinnacle of modern automotive design in the McLaren P1. You have over two decades of technology and design separating these two works of art.
The McLaren F1 has aged gracefully but the P1 obviously looks far more modern and even futuristic. Despite all the technology in the hybrid and turbocharged P1 the original F1 may be the better driving machine. It does still have the higher top speed capable of an eye opening 243 miles per hour.
It would take owning both to find out which is more fun to drive and suffice it to say if you can afford one you can afford both. A truly complete garage would not only have one of these after all.
