Hennessy CTS-V Wagon VS 997.1 Turbo

    Both are automatic

I actually thought there would be more of a difference, the .1 TT laid down an great stock time.

Was just about to post this, well done, and way to finally embed it lol.

The 997.1 did great. A stock 997.2 PDK should have no trouble with the wagon although I do give it respect.

Using a stock yesteryear sports car to perform a straightline comparison test against vs a modified performance sedan (that wouldn't have a prayer of hanging if it weren't for the DRs) that comes with 76hp more from the factory and then only beating it by .1 in the 1/4 (we see one pass how many were made and how many times did the Porsche win?) isn't very impressive nor are the times and traps overall IMHO. Of course we all know what would happen even if the Porsche remained stock for a road course test.

A 997.1 with equal work (even just a DME tune) would walk that wagon like a dog. That being said I still think the wagons are the best looking CTS-Vs and yes they did a nice job shooting and editing the video. Click here to enlarge

It is impressive in the sense a wagon can run with a 911 turbo. MHP is right though that a tune on the 911 and it's game over. Plus a 997.2 PDK would dust it stock.
