Unfortunately, yes. The Diesel coupe would be very appealing...
I do not see why we do not get more of the diesel lineup.BRAND NEW IN BOX 991.2 standard/non-pse SPW cat bypass pipe for sale - $899 shipped
New generic 991.2 PSE bypass pipes - $499 shipped

The American market sucks... BMWNA doesn't seem to think there would be a market for that, or the X5 40d or any other diesel other than the 35d in the USA...

@FLYING X5 you are so true about this, NA is all about STATUS QUO and not sensible to understanding that any other person can buy a BMW, that is why it is considered a PREMIUM vehicle here to keep those QUO people online. I for one WOULD OF bought the 335d COUPE in a heartbeat and had to contends with the 4 dr but I still love my vehicle, given the chance I would trade for the COUPE

Also diesels get more efficient and powerful once you start tuning them, unlike regular (petrol) cars, you can tune them to be more powerful, but they start to become more and more thirsty..
I should have went diesel... There is a gas station nearby to me that carries both regular and bio-diesel...2017 330i x-drive: Stock

I remember my friend had an 81 Rabbit Diesel the SOB drove from Norfolk,Va to Mobile,Alabama on less than a tank full, thats what he had told me back then, I am a believer now that I have one a 335d, Im getting ok mileage in the metro area 20-23 mpg(sorry, I have heavy foot
) but Puerto Rico is a traffic jam all the time, but when I manage to go out of the metro area I get around 36 mpg.
I already know where most of the DIESEL pumps are I do not worry price down here is anywhere from 92 cents to a Dollar a liter converted at 3.78 liters to a gallon =3.47 to $3.78 a gallon, premium gas more expensise at times.

Has anyone seen the top gear episode where Jeremy drives the Audi V8 TT diesel over 800 miles on one tank of gas?
Some people live long, meaningful lives.
Other people eat shit and die.
I'm not racist, I hate everybody equally; especially fat people.

I stand corrected, at least partially. As per the Wiki on Top Gear challenges:
- London to Edinburgh and back again on a single tank of fuel / Test: fuel economy. Clarkson attempted to drive a diesel Audi A8 800 miles (1,300 km) on a single tank of fuel. Series Four, Episode Four
The one I was talking about is:
- From Basel to Blackpool on a single tank of fuel. The presenters were challenged to drive from Basel, Switzerland to Blackpool, UK on a single tank of diesel, in order to switch on the Blackpool Illuminations. Each presenter chose a car: Jeremy used a Jaguar XJ6 Diesel, and in spite of using every feature in the car, and driving uneconomically, managed to complete the journey. He was, however, beaten by Richard Hammond, economically driving a Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion. James May, driving a Subaru Legacy, failed to reach Blackpool in time to switch on the lights; however, he succeeded in completing the journey. Series Twelve, Episode Four
