This might sound dumb...but what would actually happen if a thread was made directing people here, much like what already appears in their OT section directing to other forums? Say we create a thread in OT here, and then someone posts a link in the other OT.

OT is OT ........... not everyone looks at that particular section so I would imagine there wouldn't be enough attention paid to create a problem.

Then again, are the other threads you referenced to, directing others to different forums; also directing others to rival BMW forums? That would be the only problem I would see.

Well, if we're not directing them to come sign up here it wouldn't really be violating anything would it? People would realize who we are since everybody here is using the same name.
