135i vs. Skyline GT-R (R33 I Think)
So I was on my way to my daughters birthday party. And as a pass a group of cars i notice a white Nissan with a graphics stripe down the side. I braked thinking it was either a Sylvia or a 240 done up to look like one. Slow back down next to it a sure as $#@! it is a very clean looking Skyline GT-R. Sleeper, if you can call a skyline in the U.S. that, but definitely modded.
So he downshifts and speeds up to get in front of me an pass the cars in his lane. I downshift and stay next to him so he looks over and punches it. I floor it from maybe 60mph and walk away from him. Rarely spank a guy this bad.
I snapped some pictures with my phone right before i smoked him. (I was holding up a ton of traffic trying to get them as he was cruising slow at before he tried to go) Gotta try to get them off the phone and I will post.

doesnt look like a GTR model, in RWD trim and stock you would beat it (no catch necessary)

Yes that is my understanding as well. The company that was importing them(motorex) had an R33 crash tested and certified but I understand that costs big $$ and they had to wreck a skyline for it so instead of doing it to the r32 and 34 they imported them as 33's. Eventually they got in trouble and a bunch of cars were seized.

Thats what i heard as well but the never shared any of the certification info with anyone since they paid for it. When they got busted for whatever it was and this info was never shared we lost the ability to have them imoprted. This was all awhile back though wasn't it?

You're pretty much out of luck as far as importing Skylines for the most part, from what I've heard. There is a local guy around here that owns an R34 GTR V-Spec, but he paid out the ass for it, and had to search high and low to find a fully legal one. He told me that basically if they aren't legal and have paperwork already, then they aren't going to be legal no matter what you do. Some of them got grandfathered in through Motorex, if the owners paid for the work and were screwed by the business, but beyond that, it's near impossible to get a legal one. This is for R34's obviously though. I have heard a rumor that R33's are a little easier.
Current: 2012 CTS-V - stock for now
Past: 2009 135i 6MT - JB4, bolt ons, meth, E85
