what did the ess car trap...edit, just watched the video....that guy is an idiot from running the both of you from a dig...its impossible to get a DCT M3 off the line with a reasonable 60ft, he had that race lost before it even started
I'd rather see roll ons

first of all he's not an idiot. he's my friend. second he beat a modded 500+whp C5 vette from a dig which was on drag radials, earlier in the night. he lost to that 997tt from a roll too. my car from a roll would be even worse then a dig. i run liter bikes from rolls.
thanks man !

Your $#@! boogies! Nice 996, Prodigy. You have a really nice custom setup (followed your build on 6speed). Nice that you can drive well with the RWD. I raced against a few 996TT's on AWD that couldn't launch to save their lives.

Whose saying the race would have been closer from a roll? All I'm saying is that running from a roll takes one more variable out of the equation (traction/launch/60ft) so that you have a more realistic representation of the performance of both cars.
And yes, regardless of whether he beat a 500whp c5 vette he isnt the smartest guy running high hp awd cars (and your car) from a dig with DCT. Hes digging himself in a hole to begin with and giving his competitors the advantage by playing to the strengths of their cars and not his ownLast edited by ERM324; 07-24-2012 at 03:30 PM.

I've seen him outlaunch a V8TT AWE tuned RS6 Auto before and do 0-60 in 3.8-4.2 on the street. We play with variables, no arm twisting, no cry babies. Some guys practice and get better, some stick to excuses why it cant be done. My 996tt has been out-launched by a SC M3 - fact. I have outlaunched a GTR in another SC M3 - fact.
Not a life/death situation bud.... it is what it is really.

Anytime I raced a supercharged M3 with my GT-R I would always get asked to do a high speed roll, no dig races. I always obliged since I felt they were the underdog. But I still think if you really want to test a car out, you should do both a dig run and a highway pull.
Roll-on race to see who's car is actually faster.
1/4 mile dig race to see who is the traffic light winner.
M3 owners never agree to run from a dig so we always have to go by their terms, but I really can't blame them because even with DR's on they still don't seem to do all that well.his: _______________ hers: Mitsubishi Evolution X

yah this was sunday night.
yeah 997tt is actually my friends dads daily.... he drives a modded ZR1 himself. he brought out the 997tt because he thought it would be a good run on the street.... auto+awd, but then he slept his small advantage away at the line. either way its cool car and the DCT M just jumped in for fun with us.
