2014 BMW i8 Official Launch Video - Is this car begging for an M version?
By now you are aware that BMW revealed the production version of the 2014 BMW i8 at the Frankfurt Auto show. That or you struggle with loading and reading automotive websites. The entire internet is abuzz in talking about the vehicle and BMW being the masters of marketing that they are is maximizing exposure by trickling out additional content. Below is the official BMW launch video for the i8 and BimmerBoost must say it is very well done.
Most noticeable of course is the i8 itself in a beautiful black paint job. The car looks gorgeous in black. It certainly has the looks the only problem is where is the bite? Is BMW really investing so much in this platform without having further models planned? Does it really end here? Let's hope not. This is the first time BMW has had a real lightweight (lightweight for BMW) mid-engine platform since the original M1.
Enjoy the video.

Best looking BMW on sale today, now throw in a big engine with a great noise or do something similiar to the SLS AMG Electrice Drive.

Gotcha. I had not been paying attention. Even if I had, I'd be glad to see that it made it into production.
...and I'm with you Sticky. This platform looks too good for BMW to leave it at this. I really hope they have big plans to take it to the next level.

I would love to see that car with an S85 in it and an AA exhaust system. Now that would be a supercar. Still looks cool though, but as cool as it looks you won't feel too good driving it and having a Ferrari or Lambo pull up next to you with an awesome exhaust note.
2013 Audi S6 stock but shopping....
2014 RAM 2500 6.7 Cummins. Far from stock

I don't get the video.
Carbon Fiber. EDrive. Born electric. A bunch of mirror image video. A 7 rated brunette staring at the guy driving, probably because she wants him to buy her some fake cans.
the car is sexy as hell, and I like the music. Seems M for Marketing missed the mark when it comes to this middle-aged male.Current: '00 S2000

Maybe it's me but it seems like it sits up kinda high... At least in the front. I'm not a fan of slammed cars, but drop this thing and put a s85 in it and you have a perfect bmw IMO.
