I remember that post from Cleveland *cough* I mean LeMansBlue M. I like how he brought up Jim Conforti as if hes done anything lately worth talking about. Has he tuned any of the E9x cars? Whatever happend to sharkedit?
I also like remark he made about brand names and being established . Well G-power was an established brand name and look what happend to me and tightie. VF is an established brand name and look at the $#@! storm they're going thru these days. Bottomline my point is while a good rep helps it doesn't mean your $#@! dont stink. And imo the bigger ur company gets and the more they mass produce kits and lose that 1on1 the more they are likely to have problems imo.

I remember saying something about G-Power being the wrong decision and you said I did not know what I was talking about and I was wrong for waiting. No apology?

You are correct about getting too big for your own good. Mass producing kits with resistors is better how? Better at getting your car at HPF?

Yes you were right but it's not like you knew it was gonna happen it was just a good guess, at the time you were saying to wait for VF or ESS blah blah and VF's kit still isn't done and ESS is well its meh. So basically it comes down the same thing it could have happend to anyone. It would have been waiting for one company with a name for another company with a name also. At the time I was set on either the Gintani kit or the G-power but since I got the deal of a lifetime and Gintani's kit wasn't 100% then what was the point of me waiting right? especially when you buy into the G-power "name" Anyone else would have done the same if they were in my shoes.

Absolutely, you have more experience with VF so if I make a mistake, glad you are here to correct it
They do use resistors though
Give yourself some credit, 11.51 @ 124.8 would have never happened if you did not push it, it was not VF. As a matter of fact, VF still has not incorporated the changes you made and showed to be successful.
Oh, and I think we can agree VF is not in the best spot right now.

They do have a new Alpha N file as an option for those who want to go MAFLESS, but I've never understood why people think the MAF is such a bad thing, but I'm beyond the E46, I just know many of the things stated against VF and GIAC were blown way out of proportion, but that doesn't mean the CS complaints etc. were not warranted, nothing wrong with a customer expressing his grievances. I do agree that they are in a tight spot now, but hopefully they can learn from Mike's situation as well as others and be more proactive with their current and future customers, I'm very happy to see that they finally took care of Mike.

VF at one time was a top option, a bit of a fall from grace but that does not mean they have not had success and have not had happy customers. The VF abuse is certainly going to continue in part due to Mike's situation and the huge threads blown up all over the place.
They are taking care of Mike, but it is not due to a genuine desire to help him. I really wish we could go into this, but we can't.
I will also reiterate the 124.8 was due to your changes and effort, not really VF's, you deserve the credit Drew

LOL!!! Drama???..... Are you kidding?.......There are no politics and drama on web forums...LOL. In all actuality drama on another forum is why my drag racing days with the EVO may very soon come to an end. Anytime, when someone from the "outside" comes in and takes the focus away from others then the bashing and naysaying begins. After awhile its starts to take all the fun away from what we enjoy.
So, now that I am away from the EVO boards and on the BMW boards, you're telling me that there is drama on these boards too??? HAHAHA. Sheesh...Im movin on to the pitbike forums then.
Have fun with it. Screw what every one else thinks. Most others will have agendas

Although I mean absolutely no harm towards Gintani, i wish them the best and I think they are doing a great job, I want to comment on that text you quoted from another forum. What he (I dont know who you are quoting) makes alot of sense. A production kit is much different then 1 -5 local cars. Although i think they can do this it will be a much bigger test to see when it does. And as far as E36 and E46 kits, the same. As far as i know i dont know anyone running around with a Gintani E46 that white one in the video is the first ive seen, ive heard of that one E36 SC which is Alex's friends car which has been there for a very long time. The video above just proves that they have the talent to get the hardware done, the true test would be getting a number of cars out there (which is now happening with the E9x's). It would be awesome to see the kits move into a production type of kit.
Also no offense, I just want to say you must be really mad at the BMW community or really passionate about Gintani, your internet voice made me get the wrong impression of you and then hearing you in the video pretty much confirmed it.
Your video is cool but it doesnt completely prove the fact above wrong.

No. No. No. I wasnt saying drama in here by any means. Sorry if it read that way. I was talking about what you stated in your first post. That the video would not have been allowed to be posted elsewhere and that Gintani was being treated unfairly. This type of stuff was going on the other EVO boards I use to post on. I guess it is hard to get across sarcasm when I type it. Again it was not in anyway about anything on this site.
