    Dig & rolls between Porsche 2015 991.1 GT3, 2018 991.2 GT3, and a Lamborghini Huracan

Very cool to see the difference in acceleration between the 991.1 and 991.2 generation GT3's. Remember, the 991.1 GT3 has the 3.8 liter flat-6 which was introduced with some major problems. Porsche ended up fixing the issue and giving owners a 10 year 120k mile warranty.

The 991.2 GT3 has a new 4.0 liter flat-6 with no major reported issues that pulls to 9000 rpm just like the 3.8 but it is said to offer 25 more horses on paper. A dyno overlay would be great to see but real world comparisons are also great.

The first run is a roll race between the GT3's and wow does the 991.2 sure look like it making use of more than 25 more ponies. It pulls quite hard on the 991.1.

Race 2 is a launch control dig and the 991.2 gets a jump and pulls away.

Race 3 is another roll but the 991.2 jumps again and trounces the 991.1. Wow!

The 991.2 GT3 tries the Huracan on for size next. They go from a stop and the GT3 gets a nice little jump allowing it to hold a lead until the Huracan's power takes over past third gear.

The roll race is up next and the Huracan just pulls away.

    No replacement for displacement, eh?

If you didn't make it until the end, they showed some vBox times at 11:17. GT3 ran 11.0@125.7 v Huracan 10.7@131.2. Biggest surprise to me is how well the GT3 got out of the hole. I did not expect it to be under 3 seconds to 60 on the street.

The RWD porsche's do surprisingly well launching. Hence why I opted for less weight over AWD.

    1) 125mph should prove 991.2GT3 is faster than GTS. Though don't know how much it has to do with the straight pipe they mentioned both GT3s are fitted with.

    2) Huracan traps this time 131mph, last time 133mph against 488gtb. Is Huracan really that fast or it's DT that knows how to make the best of it? I was under the impression it's 130mph car. Maybe it's underrated by amataur youtubers.

    I love NAs.

We would need to see them go door to door. I'd say the GTS wins from a stop and the GT3 from a roll.

Something might be done to his. These are VBOX traps though. On the strip he doesn't hit those numbers: https://www.boostaddict.com/content....mile-drag-race

    1) It doesn't look to me GTS is quicker from stand still. Did you notice how incredibly well GT3 launches on an eye opening 6K5~7k rpm? And 0-60 below 3s GTS can do that this easily?

    2) On that strip he did 129mph, which is a little on the slow side but is normal and still quick for a 600hp car. Car is just slower some day than other days. I don't think DT would secretly mod its Huracan to race everyone else. For what purpose? Making Huracan look quicker than it really is? I believe Huracan is actually somewhere between 991.2TTS and 570s quick. 992.1TTS could match Huracan.

Not on the slow side for a Huracan. They run about ~128. Just look at the slips. VBOX is inflated.

    Here's another one with a tune running 129: https://www.boostaddict.com/showthre...ile-drag-races

Conditions vary of course but the fastest I've seen is 130 on a real strip.

The 991.2 TTS is quicker and faster than the Huracan. The Huracan is not between them an 570S.
