Canaan Valley, WV - where our cars belong
Just got back from a fantastic weekend away w my girlfriend celebrating our one year anniversary. She's a city girl for the most part so this was a big stretch for her, but she seemed to really enjoy the relaxing surroundings.....so that means I got the green light to setup more fishing trips in the future :redspot.
On to the pics:
Stopped in Harpers Ferry Saturday for Lunch, good food for sure and pretty good roads but the traffic stole my fun
3 Hour trip out Rt. 50 and some fantastic roads once you get into the really rural areas. Killed a few million bugs on the way out...nothing a wet microfiber couldnt cure.
Sunday Morning on the way out to Timberline for some hiking and riding up their chairlift to the top....awesome view and some really cool trails up there. Almost like an alpine rainforest.
I gotta tell you guys, the roads in this part of West Virginia are just fantastic. Barely ever straight, smooth as glass, wide lanes, great scenary, high speed limits, no cops, low traffic, switchbacks and the like on every mountain. I had a freaking blast!!!!
Fantastic day out there - looks like I need to clean my sensor
Up top hiking
Then off to Davis, WV for burritos at Hellbenders........I feel bad for anyone walking behind me after that meal
Us at Blackwater Falls, very cool spot
Going to hang this one in my room I think
Gassin up Sunday morning. Believe it or not this thing turned in 22.1mpg on the whole 600 mile plus trip in the mountains!!! I was pretty impressed considering this car should be around 500bhp and I was NOT being gentle in the mountains......ample boost was applied.

Seneca Rocks, big rock climbing hangout in the area
Pulled in at a classic car show.......the M3 stood out just a weeeeee little bit lol
Another seneca rocks shot
At Seneca caverns having lunch....what a cool and freakkkkky place
Some sort of mining apparatus
In the caverns.......they turned out the lights to show us what total cave darkness looks like. Holly $#@!. Dark Dark Dark.
Our last day there on the way to a local river to catch some trout.....tell me these roads dont just beg to be torn up. I really wish I could/would have stopped to take pics of the switchbacks, it was just really unsafe to stop on those sections
and finally this morning heading out in the rain, our 'cabin'
Finally home, relieved and ready to wash the car lol....this is the dirtiest its been since I owned it. The ride back through the mountains in the rain just covered it in crap.
