Advanced Tech Rules
Welcome to Advanced Tech.
Please read these rules before starting a new thread or posting in an existing thread:
1. This section is meant for 'technical' discussions for any area of automotive engineering, vehicle physics or machines in general. Heavy math and lots of reading is welcome. Please keep all other posts in the other sections, we would like to keep this forum a concentrated library of technical knowledge for people who are interested in learning more in depth about the theory of automotive performance.
2. There is no ego in here. I need not say more than just this, did the people who designed the moon lander bicker and argue all day? No, they worked together as a team. So please, let's work together as a team and learn as much as we can from eachother, keep the attitudes elsewhere.
3. Please do a little research before you ask a question.
I'm not asking anyone to go out and get a physics degree, but questions like "Wut intake shud i get on my 335i lolz thx" can be answered via google. If you researched your question online and could not find a clear answer, go ahead and ask it; it may lead to a great discussion as there are very smart and experienced automotive enthusiasts on this forum!
So welcome and I hope you find what you were looking for.

The best intake for your 335 is going to be something that delivers air to the engine with minimal pressure drop, maximum filtration and as little direction change as possible, oh and from a cold source of air. However that system looks, I dont know, because they dont exist for the 335 yet. Some people live long, meaningful lives.

Yea it doesnt have to be perfectly straight, but 'straighter' the better. And of course with a source of cold air if you can.
