lmfao my friend yelling and screaming like a moron.. that coyote was modded and it was racing that other mustang anyway so they just took off lol
me and this guy in his zl1 hung until like 80mph then he started pulling away cause of the power difference.. it's an automatic..

ZL1s suffer REALLY bad from heatsoak. In the real world they're usually slower than a Boss 302. The magazine versions didn't show that probably because GM gave them "special" cars. But couple in the heatsoak, the ridiculous weight, and less power than the magazines reviewed, and you've got a car that can lose to a bolton 5.0. I've seen them trap as low as 104 at the track before.

I think Chevy could have done a lot more with the zl1. The ss is pretty solid, the z28 is a track beast, but the zl1 seems to fall short in every way

Eh the numbers are good, but at that point if I were to look at domestic cars I'd just get a Boss or GT500.

ZL1's for whatever reason just have been a bit underwhelming.

Having a friend yelling like that would make my day as I would be laughing my ass off everytime lol. Repped.
I've never raced a ZL1 before, but I always thought they were close in performance to the old GT500's.

from the race it looks like multiple things going on...bad driver, paired in underdelivering car.
ZL1 is a heavy pig. the z28 however is beast mode. z28 is a 75k car. just can't justify spending 75k on a z28. the carbon ceramic brakes are super bad ass though.
a boss mustang is difficult to find as they don't make them anymore so any dealer holding is selling as low as 50k and as high as 100k for one.
averaging around 70k or so.

Zl1s are sloooooow. Raced one from a dig, 100oct map 7 mods in sig and just annihilated it. Forget cars, bus lengths would be more accurate. My car isn't very fast either maybe 450-475whp lol.
