you'll be glad you went with the RE-11. Only downfall will be treadlife. They'll be much better at the track than the PSS though.

youre going to light them up when the big twins come in... go r888 next time.. no comparison even between those two with dry grip.. but re-11s are one of the best choices outside r888s

Still plan on buying the kosei k1s or some custom offset forgestars with either a drag radial or r888 for any type of roll on event, drag strip ect. Car isn't my daily but would like to drive it a few times per week and couldn't see spending $1500 a year for rear tires.

Has anyone used both R888s and AD08Rs?
I was wondering how they compare.

Just picked up my AD08r's, haven't put any miles on them yet though. From what I've read the R888's are the stickier tire, with the AD08r's coming close w/longer tread ware.

R888s all the way, I have had mine on for a few hundred miles and I can't believe how well these hook. Go R888!!!! I have found my tires for life barring something else that comes out that somehow improves dry grip without being totally undrivable in the rain.

They are louder than my Hankooks but not to the point that it ruins the ride comfort at cruising speeds.

Awesome! Look forward to seeing how many miles you get out of them.

I got 1 year, which included about 10,000kms and 12 track days out of my set of AD08s.
I was pretty happy with them so I replaced them with AD08Rs.

Is this a car driven often? Keen to hear if they stay sticky throughout the life of the tyre.
If they do it sounds like they could be my next tyres.

I don't DD it to work or anything but I do drive it often (daily) and when I do drive it I drive it hard so I will report back on treadlife.

Slight rubbing in front even after 2 sessions of fender rolling, and slight rubbing rear inner wheelarch lining from the extra wheel height when rear suspension travel is near to maxed out. Stock M-spec suspension. I trimmed the parker (that holds the lining from the inside) to prevent punctures, not too concerned about the cloth lining.

For my next set of PSS I will probably go with 225/40/18 for my front tires to stop the rubbing there.
Where exactly are you rubbing in the front? Tried mounting the rims/tires yesterday and with 're11's in 235/40/18 at full lock the tire is rubbing the inner liner and oil cooler vent. So I only was able to mount the rears. 275/35/18's fit fine in the back so far, gone over some big dips and no rubbing yet. Pic included of stock rim/tire to show where it was rubbing and how little room I have.

Another pic I took this morning.
The circled fender part is rubbing/scraping the tire when steering straight or at a slight turn, and the suspension is under heavy load as in driving over a speed bump.
I have M3 control arms, and the camber is set at -1 degree if I remember correctly.

Here's a few photos of what I did. The shim in the picture wasn't screwed in place yet and I had to trim more of it so I could put the oil cooler cover back on.

Ended up taking the oil cooler cover off, shimming the passanger side of oil cooler with about 4 composite shims screwed together to push the oil cooler about 5/8-3/4" towards the front of the car . Then used a bolt and special nut to pull the liner closer towards the front bumper. Had to shave off some of the plastic on the oil cooler cover where I put the shims. Unless you get down on your hands and knees and really look you would never know any work was done.

By shimming the oil cooler forward there was now a space about a half inch to three quarter inch between oil cooler and fender liner. I Then drilled a hole in the bumper just to the left of the brake duct and below the oil cooler all the way through the fender liner. Then I inserted the bolt through the front of the bumper and into liner. As I tightened the bolt it pulled the liner towards the bumper. Cut off the excess bolt flush with the nut so it's not protruding into the liner. Then once I put the oil cooler cover back on I put two screws through the oil cooler cover into the liner to suck it in flush with the liner.

Apex did call me back in the midst of working on it and said only time they've heard of this issue on a stock suspension car is if the alignment is off from factory specs OR if the car had been in a front end collision which to my knowledge it never has.

Let us know how you like the RE-11s

I just ordered some R888s 265/35/19s for the rears.

Dont want to buy new rims for track night and they're the stickiest tires I can find that wont rub on my +25 rims. Running a 275/30 PSS on them now.

The PSS's are good at everything, great at nothing. I should have bought some cheapo Direzza's to beat on daily instead of these overpriced Michelins.

So far I have no complaints. They hook incredibly well for a street tire. My car makes around 400/450. I tried doing a burn out doing a 5 mph roll, went WOT in first only to have the car dead hook and before I knew what happened I was about to bounce of the limiter, lol. Haven't pushed them at all in the corners. Need to install some front m3 control arms in the next few weeks and will report back.

I'm in the Michelin PSS camp too. They're stick to the ground and they last for 50K miles or something like that.

nitto nt05s aren't too shabby either. r888s are best for stickiness though and retaining somewhat of drivability over slicks. (r888s in my opinion are like drag radials)
