    509 whp bolt on E89 Z4 N54 tries its luck against a stock Camaro ZL1 LT4

Just how much power do you need to take on a LT4 Camaro ZL1? Well, a hell of a lot more than 509 to the wheels like this Z4 has. It is also a 6-speed manual example so it is at a disadvantage in shift speed.

The ZL1 of course has a supercharged 6.2 liter V8. It dynos in the ~570 horsepower to the wheels range.

    It shows.

LT4's are a great barometer to run against but don't think you can play with one on the stock N54 turbos because you can't.

Yikes, that wasn't even close. That Z4 may have made 509 on the dyno but I highly doubt it's putting down that much on the streets. That looked closer to a 150whp difference between the two cars.

Yep plus the Z4 is a bit lighter too.

Umm there is a mistake here. That Dyno in the OP is my dyno for my Z4. Thats not the dyno for the Z4 in the OP that made the bull$#@! 509 whp with nitrous. I made 503 without nitrous. I merely posted my dyno on FB to tell that dude you dont need nitrous to make that power on a Z4 with stock turbos FBO+ and that he may need a custom tune to truly get 500+ whp. Furthermore a stock ZL1 no way in hell would have pulled on my Z4 . I would have been throwing asphalt into its windshield long time ago. My Z4 was strictly street tuned in real world conditions and then I took it into dyno for $#@!s and giggles. I never tuned it on a dyno.

100-200 my Z4 did 8.1s on an E-mix map on the old setup that "my" dyno goes with. On pump gas it does 9.6s in 100-200 also on my Z4 old setup . Stock ZL1 is only EST at 9.8s in 100-200 http://fastestlaps.com/models/chevrolet-camaro-zl1-2012

    Here are my 100-200 times

Here is the original FB post https://www.facebook.com/groups/9323...llow&ref=notif where you will find the OP Z4 actual dyno that shows his 509 was a spike at post shift on the dyno that had no delta and horrible torque.

All good........ it is more likely that Z4 is running about 400 whp in the vid run with the ZL1 when compared to authentic FBO+ Z4 numbers.

I'd like to see a DCT Z4 tuned properly run this thing.

Just found out it morr likely have been a 6th Gen ZL1, they are rated doing 100-200 in 7.5s. Turbo upgrade would be needed to walk it completely in a Z4. But I do believe a Z4 DCT FBO+ ethanol on stock turbos will hang with it. I have a 335is DCT doing 100-200 in 7.9s stock turbos, so since the Z4 DCT is almost 200 lbs lighter that will bring it right in line perhaps with the 6th Gen ZL1 100-200 times.

Its clearly a 6th gen ZL1 from the pics. I am confused why you keep referencing 100-200 times? No one uses that metric because it is ridiculously dangerous and stupid to do on the street.
40-140 is a much more common measurement.

I'm wondering if you are thinking any of these cars do 100-200mph on the street, and in < 10 seconds? Click here to enlarge

Vbox graph he posted has a built-in measurement for 100-200 kmh and 60-130 mph. The 40-140mph run would grab both of these measurements in 1 run and is very common, especially with turbo cars as the 40-60mph spot builds boost before the 'start' @ 60mph.

It wasn't clear to me as I am not fully acquainted with the detail difference in the body styles between the 5th and 6th gens other than the significant power difference.. The original source made no mention what ZL1 it was especially in light when confusing things more with the Z4 whp number, 509 vs 590

It is very common in the "bigger existence of the world" to use 100-200 kph. This site caters to the entire world not just to the little winy world of Vespuccians. I mean I made it very "clear" I was talking about kph as I made reference to a vBox, and I am also confused why you would say 100-200 kph is more dangerous than 40-140 mph ? Now that is a ridiculous stupid statement.
