Stage 4 VTG upgraded 991.1 Turbo S vs. bolt on McLaren 720S roll race

This Porsche 991.1 Turbo S with a 68mm Tial VTG upgrade you previously saw pull a McLaren 720S on the highway in a surprisingly easy manner. That was a stock McLaren 720S. How would it fare against bolt on tuned example in a roll race?

Well, surprisingly the 991.1 Turbo S wins. These Stage IV examples with modified VTG's we have seen trap only 144 at best in the 1/4 mile so you would think a tuned 720S would dispatch the 911 with ease.

A head scratcher to be sure but the roll on trap speed numbers show 148.67 for the 991.1 Turbo S compared to 145.22 for the 720S.

The 911 wins... again.

This shouldn't need it though. A bolt on 720S should be an easy 150+ affair. No VTG 991 turbo has run that fast through the 1/4 mile.
